Despite entering their maiden continental adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Without star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct entry to the last 16, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second game in succession.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
